Stephan Borgmann, renowned breeder of outstanding dressage horses with proven show records at the Bundeschampionate and up to the World Equestrian Games, is proud to host the 2024 edition of his biennial auction of home bred, reared and trained dressage young stars.
The hybrid auction with live and online bidding takes place on 17 August 2024.
The presentation of the horses starts at 14h00 at Hof Borgmann in Ostbevern, and the auction begins at 18h00.
Young Stars with Top Genes and Rideability
The Hofauktion Borgmann has become a trademark for selling some of the best young dressage horses in the world. In 2020 the spectacular stallion About You sold to The Netherlands for 1.65 million euro. In 2022 his full brother About You II set another smashing top sales price of 1.35 million euro and moved to Denmark.
These high prices prove how high quality the horses on offer are, time and again.
The collection features nine offspring by About You I, seven offspring by Aringer, and get by sires Arcachon NRW, AC-DC, Discover, and Triple Crown.
The Borgmann Name
The Borgmann name is well known in the warmblood horse breeding world for its leading dam lines bred by Stephan and the late Norbert Borgmann.
Already since 2001 their offspring is sold at home auctions at Hof Borgmann. These horses are now successfully competing on the national and international show scene. Examples are Ein Traum who was a Spanish team member of the 2018 World Equestrian Games, but there are also the U.S.A. team bronze medal winning Floriano (Steffen Peters - 2006 WEG Aachen), Victoria Max-Theurer's Eichendorff, and licensed stallion About You II who competed at the 2023 World Young Horse Championships.
Borgmann horses are bred, reared and trained at home and their full history is therefore known. They stand out for their rideability and outstanding character, which make them reliable partners for amateur riders.
