The bay colt Sea Cloud became the price highlight of the 2024 Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction on 10 August 2024 selling for 74,000 euro.
A collection of 71 foals was on offer.
Sea Cloud (by Santiano x Krack C x Aljano) was the most wanted foal and had 51 bids before the hammer struck at 74,000 euro. Bred and owned by Erja Aholainen, the bay colt sold to an international dressage stable in the UK.
The second most expensive foal was the filly Ravina KP (by Fair Deal x Foundation) which sold to return clients from Poland for 47,000 euro. She will be joined by Emilia (by Escanto PS x Vivaldi) for 21,500 euro
The most expensive show jumping foal was Entourage (by Ermitage Kalone x Diarado) which sold for 22,000 euro to the USA. The 2024 German Foal Champion Breeze of Georg (by Balou du Rouet x Cassini II) sold to Belgium for 17,500 euro
Valencia Beauty (by Viva Gold x Desperados) went for 19,500 euro. Firlevranz (by Feliciano x San Amour) sold for 16,000 euro and Flamour (by Feliciano x Sezuan) for 15,500 euro to Mexico. Did It Now (by Dynamic Dream x Diamond Hit) went for 15,500 euro.
Kurt Cobain (by Kjento x Franklin) and Bondation (by Bon My Love x Foundation) both sold for 15,000 euro.
A Brit purchased Kasia (by Kjento x De Niro) for 13,000 euro, Baghira (by Bon Bolero x For Romance) for 8,500 euro, and Loreley (by V-Power x Vivaldi) for 7,500 euro.
Roselove Q (by Bon My Move x Danone) and Dorian Grey (by Dynamic Dream x Sandro Hit) move to Austria for 11,000 and 9,000 euro. Luiselle B (by Red Vipert x Londontime) goes to Holland for 6,000 euro.
No less than 35 foals in a collection of 71 sold for 10,000 euro or more. International buyers showed great interest in the Oldenburg foals. Twenty-one sold abroad: to Great Britain (5), Austria (5), the USA (3), Poland (2), Belgium (1), France (1), Mexico (1), the Netherlands (1), Sweden (1), and Hungary (1).
The 2024 Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction achieved a turnover of 909,000 euro, with an average price of around 13,000 euro.
