2024 Dutch Dressage Championships

Isabella Karajkovich became the new Dutch FEI Dressage Pony champion at the National Championships - known as the Hippiade - in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 16 August 2024.

Thirty-six combinations competed in the "Z2 Cat DE" division, which is FEI pony level, which consisted of two rounds. All 36 rode the first round and the top 10 moved on to the Kur to Music finals. An average of the two scores was made to determine the final ranking.

Isabella Karajkovic and 12-year old Dutch Welsh pony First Hummer (by FS Mr Right x Jarno) topped the board in the first round with 73.162% and was second in the Kur to Music with 74,867. She averaged the highest total of 74,015% to take the gold medal and title.

"He went so incredibly well," said Karajkovic after winning the title. "In the Kur he was switched on and unfortunately a little bit too much on fire at the end. I'm so incredibly proud of my golden friend." Isabella trains with Coby van Baalen.

The silver went to Feline Niessen aboard the 11-year old Rhinelander bred Diamond Blue (by Daddy Cool x Golden Moonlight). She was second in the first round (70,641%) and won the Kur to Music (75,367%), bringing her overall average to 72.94% to become the reserve champion.

Younger sister Esmae Niessen and the New Forest Pony Le Formidable (originally named Paco, by Champion de Luxe) got the bronze medal with 70,641% and 74,558 % to average 72.60%. Esmae is the 2024 European Children Champion and rides both with ponies and in the children on horses classes.
