The 3-year old Viva La Vida Loca and the 4-year old Kings Lady became the winners of the 2024 Austrian Warmblood Mare Championship held in Stadl Paura on 20 - 22 September 2024.

3-YO: Viva La Vida Loca

Seventeen mares were selected for the championship ring for 3-year olds

The bay mare Viva la Vida Loca (by Viva Gold x Fiderbach x French Kiss) topped the leaderboard and took the title. She is bred and owned by Christian Rainer and scored 8.5 for type, 9.0 for confirmation, 8.5 for walk, 9.5 for trot.

Inspector Dr. Carina Krumbiegel commented that she "from the first moment that she came into the arena she enchanted us. Always moving strongly, always uphill, and she's harmoniously built. A great mare."

The reserve title went to Haselmaus (by For Austria x Easton), bred and owned by Trakehner Gestut Murtal. She scored 9 for type and conformation, 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot.

4-YO: Kings Lady

In the 4-year old mare category there were eighteen mares with three more entered, but they scratched.

Kings Lady (by Bon Courage out of SPS Kelly PS (by Feedback x Daros) received the champion's sash. Bred and owned by the Pfister family, this bay mare got 9.5 for type, 9 for conformation, 8 for walk and 9 for trot.

Inspector Dr. Helmut Feigl said that "it can't get much better than that. Self carriage, mechanic, closed in the body. This mare leaves nothing to be desired."

The reserve champion's title went to Andreas Winter's Buttercup W (by Escamillo x Belissimo M) who got 8.5 for type and conformation, 8 for walk and 9.5 for trot.
