Dacapo B, the medal winning German team pony of Hanna Clauberg, has been sold to Italy.

Dacapo B is a 7-year old Rhinelander bred German Riding Pony stallion by Dornik B out of Guinevere B (by Golden Dancer x Derano Gold).

Bred by Ludwig Stassen at Gestut Bonninger, the chesntut dun stallion was licensed at the 2020 Rhinelander Pony stallion licensing in Viersen and did his performance test requirements through sport.

He was first show in 2020 by Linda Engel, finishing 21st in the 3-year old stallion class at the 2020 Bundeschampionate. She rode the young stallion for one more year.

In 2022 Hanna Sofie Clauberg took over the ride and premiered him in spring. They finished 8th in the 5-year old dressage pony finals at the 2022 Bundeschampionate. In 2023 they made the CDI debut in Troisdorf and ended the year with bronze in the 6-year old dressage pony class at the 2023 Bundeschampionate.

This year Clauberg and Dacapo B focused more on international showing with starts in Ornago, where they won three times, and the German team selection trial in Hagen. They were selected on the German team for the 2024 European Pony Championships in Opglabbeek and picked up team gold, individual test bronze and kur silver. In September they won bronze at the 2024 German Pony Championships.

Sold to Italy

The young pony stallion has now been sold to aspiring FEI pony rider, 12-year old Luca Farina, through mediation of Saskia Evertz of Aischbachhof.

The pony loving Farina has only just began his international dressage career this year with the experienced schoolmaster Wise Guy (by Bodo x Orchard D'Avranches). Last week he welcomed Dacapo into the barn.

"Luca will patiently get acquainted with this young pony, as this is a slow process with both still having to learn much together. They will take all the time needed get to know one other and grow as a pair for the future," said Saskia Evertz who matched the two talents together.
