With the last qualifier of the season done and dusted, the finalists for the 2024 Louisdor Cup, the German Developing Grand Prix Horse Championships, are known.

The Louisdor Cup finals traditionally take place during the CDI Frankfurt in December. This year's edition is on 18 - 22 December 2024

Final Qualifier in Guxhagen

The Louisdor Cup is for 8 to 10-year old Grand Prix horses and the circuit has been a fishing pool for future German team horses.

Five qualifiers took place this 2024 season (Hagen, Kronberg, Donzdorf, Pinneberg) and the last one was in Guxhagen on 11 - 13 October 2024. The two highest placed pairs of each qualifier are eligible to compete in the Finals.

In Guxhagen the test was won by Katharina Hemmer aboard  Scott Zahner's 9-year old Hanoverian gelding Slaide (by Spörcken x Hochadel) with 73.595%. Right on her heels was the second placed pair, Thomas Wagner on the 9-year old Westfalian Escolux (by Escolar x St. Moritz) on 73.553%. In June Escolux' owner Sammy Höner moved Escolux from Thomas Wagner to Katharina Hemmer but nowadays the tall gelding has been reunited with Wagner.
