Kensington, Best Seller of the 2024 Equine Elite Auction

Kensington became the best selling horse in the 2024 Equine Elite auction organized by Dutch based British horse dealer Craig Rawlins at his Stable Korenbloem in Weert, The Nethrlands, on 26 October 2024. 

A collection of no less than 54 horses was on sale, including untrained two-year olds, newly started young horses, as well as advanced level dressage horses. 

Kensington

Kensington, a 9-year old KWPN gelding by Bordeaux x Rohdiamant, fetched the highest price of the evening, which was filled with shows, dancing, singing, a light show, and musical beats. He sold for 195,000 euro.

The black sold as a foal for 23,000 euro to Jan Pieter Dalsem at the 2015 Foal Auction  Veulenveiling Midden-Nederland. He presented him as a rising 3-year old this black at the KWPN stallion licensing pre-selection but not get picked. As a 4-year old he was competed by Maxime Osse.

Six Figures

Mobil Sollenburg
Joop van Uytert's former licensed stallion and now gelding Mobil Sollenburg, a 7-year ol by Total US x Jazz, sold for 110,000 euro. The same price was paid for the 8-year old Vino (by Vivaldi x Hochadel). 

Noraly, a 6-year old KWPN mare by Secret x Everdale, went for 100,000 euro. The 8-year old stallion Lego (by Negro x Flemmingh) also sold for this six-figure price.

High Priced

The 12-year old Hummer (by Andretti x Gribaldi) had a hammer price of 95,000 euro.

The gelding Otazu (by Totilas x Cadans M), who sold for 40,000 euro at the 2022 Excellent Dressage Sales, now sold for 86,000 euro. The same price was paid for the 6-year old Zero Tolerance (by Zoom x Blickpunkt).

The 7-year old mare Solène (by Sandro Hit x Florestan) found a new owner for 85,000 euro, just like Kiolita (by Governor x Krack C). Obtaine O (by Fontaine x Rousseau) went for 80,000 euro. Kaliber (by Damon Hill x Totilas) went for 70,000 euro.

The 13-year old Gadget (by Apache x Uphill) sold for 66,000 euro, while Fifty-Fifty (by Gribaldi x Rolex) went. for 52,000 euro.
