The International Horse Show Frankfurt (IFRF) returns for its 51st edition from December 18 to 22, 2024, transforming the iconic Festhalle into a Christmas wonderland filled with equestrian excellence and festive cheer. With its blend of world-class competitions and holiday ambiance, this year’s IFRF promises an unforgettable experience for spectators and competitors alike.

True to IFRF tradition, the Festhalle will be decorated in festive style, featuring sparkling lights, a grand Christmas wreath, and its signature golden and purple starry sky, creating a magical pre-Christmas atmosphere. The celebrations begin on Wednesday evening with a spectacular opening show that sets the stage for the week’s highlights. Event director Matthias Rath and his team are excited to welcome everyone to this special anniversary with an unforgettable launch.

Families and children will have much to look forward to, including the Beyond Capital Home Children’s Competition, where young participants design obstacles, allowing them to play a part in the main event. The Christmas tree raffle will bring festive surprises to young guests, while the Lila-Pferd Foundation continues its mission to spread holiday joy by supporting children in need, capturing the season’s spirit of giving.

The lineup of competitions is equally exciting, featuring eight international show jumping events. Highlights include the Youngster Tour for young horses, multiple world-ranking events, and the Grand Prix of Hesse, presented by Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG. Dressage enthusiasts can also look forward to three five-star events, covering the full Olympic dressage program, and the much-anticipated finals of the NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL and Louisdor Prize, where the next generation of dressage talent will be showcased.

On Thursday, the Hessentag event will celebrate regional talent, top junior riders, and Hessian riding clubs, turning the Festhalle into a dynamic and colorful stage. This fan-favorite day is known for its lively performances and embodies the true spirit of the IFRF.
