Rogerson's father James acquired L'Amour as a 3-year old at Roy van den Heuvel's sales yard in The Netherlands.

Charlotte produced the stallion up the levels herself. She first competed him in 2000 as a 4-year old and the horse made its international show debut in 202 in the 6-year old young horse classes. He was first shown at the 2022 CDI Onrago, where he won the 6-YO finals test. A year later he returned in Ornago for the 7-year old division and was nominated for Switzerland to compete at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where he placed 6th ion the 7-year old consolation final with 74.143%. He went on to show at the CDI's in Dielsdorf, Wroclaw and Motesice that year. In 2024 he competed in his first national Intermediaire II test.
