Three dressage stallions - Glamourdale, Hermes, and Indian Rock - have been nominated for the 2024 KWPN Horse of the Year title. The winner is decided by public vote and will be honoured during the KWPN Stallion Licensing in Den Bosch 29 January - 1 February 2025.
The three stallions represented Great Britain and the Netherlands at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Glamourdale winning team and individual bronze, while Hermes finished fourth in the Kur finals. The Dutch team including Hermes and Indian Rock finished fourth.
Glamourdale (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro) was KWPN Horse of the Year in 2020 and 2023 and is now back in the running for the title. Glamourdale was the 2014 KWPN stallion licensing champion, won the 2018 World Young Horse Championships and 2022 World Championships. At the 2023 he won team gold and kur silver.
Hermes (by Easy Game x Flemmingh) won bronze at the 2016 World Young Horse Championships. He was the 2021 KWPN Horse of the Year and at the 2022 World Championships he won individual and kur bronze.
Indian Rock (by Apache x Vivaldi) was the 2016 KWPN Stallion Licensing champion. He was member of the Dutch team at the 2022 World Championships and placed 15th in the Kur finals. At the 2023 European Championships he was 12th in the Kur. At the 2024 Olympics he was 11th in the Kur.
