Carina Harnisch's 2023 Bundeschampionate finalist FBW Francis has moved to Korea where he will continue his sport career.

Francis is a 9-year old Baden Wurttemberger gelding by Franziskus out of Feine Perle (by Feiner Stern x Hitchcock x Jet Stream xx). He is bred by Manfred Bauer.

The horse was first competed as a 3-year old in 2019 by Björn Steigauf.

Owned by Wolfram Rother, Francis came in training with Carina Harnisch and she debuted him in the spring of 2021. In 2022 she debuted him at M-level and by July 2023 he did his first S-level tests.

The horse's first claim to fame came at the 2023 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where he finished 13th in the 7-year old finals with a score of 74.136%. Carina further established the horse at small tour level in 2024 and won the regional iWest Cup with him in Stuttgart in November, their last show as a pair.

Korea

FBW Francis has now been sold to Korea through sales agent Saskia Evertz of Aischbachhof.

The bay has been acquired by Junseo Oh, a student of Kim Hyeok, the 2018 Asian Games' team silver and individual bronze medal winner and 2022 Korean Champion.

The 19-year old Juneseo Oh has been showing the chestnut Bellamy and the bay Belgian warmblood Flortrak. He is based at Changwhan Bae's Balios equestrian center.
