Pferderevue reported that equestrian centre Magna Racino in Ebreichsdorf, Austria, has been sold to Irish billionaire Luke Comer.

Comer purchased the 200 hectare property from the German Lürssen Gruppe.

The 65-year old Comer is a real estate developer with an interest in horse racing.

In the past two decades Ebreichsdorf hosted three CDI's: one in 2000, one in 2018 and one in 2019. The venue did host a string of national shows that were well attended Austrian and German riders based in Bavaria. In 2019 the Austrian Championships took place there.

In 2018 the venue became a candidate to host the World Equestrian Games but dropped out of the bidding process after failing to meet the deadline.

According to the Sunday Times Rich List in 2023, Luke and his brother Brian Comer had a net worth of £913 million.

A Monaco resident, Luke Comer breeds and trains race horses in Ireland but got his licence suspended for three years after twelve of his horses tested positive to anabolic steroids. His son Luke W Comer got his licence suspended for one year following the discovery of decomposed horse carcases on his property.
