KWPN Stallion Hitmaker Moves to Wellington to Join Alexandra Duncan

Hitmaker, a KWPN licensed breeding stallion and international Grand Prix horse, has moved to Wellington, Florida, where he has joined Alexandra Duncan's line-up of approved dressage stallions.

Hitmaker is a 13-year old Dutch warmblood by Wynton out of Maduna (by Cabochon x Pantheon xx). He is bred by K. van Zanten.

Third Ranked Premium Stallion

Originally named Handsome, he was a premium colt at the 2015 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch and finished third in the champion's ring. At the licensing Wim Ernes, the chair of the committee, described Hitmaker as a "elegant stallion who moves with power and a nice technique in his frontleg. He also has gorgeous looks."

He was announced as part of the 2015 Excellent Dressage Sales collection and came in the ownership of Jan Boeve in partnership with A. Harman and P. Rietsnijder.

At the 2015 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Test he was one of just seven stallions who completed the test. He scored 80 points with 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for suppleness, 8.5 for self carriage and 8 for talent as a dressage horse. The KWPN society renamed him Hitmaker.

Hitmaker was produced to Grand Prix level by Jennifer Sekreve. As a youngster he competed in the KWPN Stallion Competition circuit. In 2023 he made his international show debut at Grand Prix level at the CDI Tolbert and the past two years he has competed at CDI's in Lier, Tolbert, Exloo, Ermelo and was member of the Dutch team at the 2024 FEI Nations' Cup in Falsterbo.

The international Grand Prix stallion has now been sold to Wellington based Canadian Alexandra Duncan as a sport horse and breeding stallion.

"Hitmaker will be available for breeding in the USA and there is still semen available in Europe," Duncan explained. " I have to thank Hylke den Braven and Stefan Passchier for making this happen. They are true professionals and a wonderful team to work with to make this happen."

Duncan added, "I also want to express my gratitude to Ossium Quarantine and Rich Faver for always taking care of our stallions. They offer the best service in town."

Hitmaker has joined Alexandra's growing string of licensed dressage stallions. She is also standing 7-year old Oldenburg stallion Elantic (by Erdinger x Belantis) and 8-year old KWPN registered and Gelderlander bred stallion McKenzy JHL (by Alexandro P x WV Saron).
