Swedish Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven has not taken home her Grand Prix ride Devanto from the U.S.A. to Sweden. The gelding has been sold as a schoolmaster.

Devanto is a 16--year old Holsteiner gelding by De Chirico out of Ribana II (by Lorentin x Fleming x Magnat II). He is bred by Holger Wesselmann.

Chrissi Speck discovered Devanto as as 3-week old foal at the breeder. He was first ridden by the owner and Maike Günthner, but sold to Peter Brenske through dealers Sam Jolig and Frederic Bünger in July 2014.

In 2015 the ride was handed over to Hartwig Burfeind and Juliane Brunkhorst, but in 2016 Jochen Vetters ended up producing him to Grand Prix level in a year time. They did their first Inter II in March 2017. Owner Brenske then gave Devanto to girlfriend Nathalie Westphal for one year.

In 2018, the ride returned to Juliane Brunkhorst, who rode him to a 7th place in the Louisdor Cup Finals and in three CDI's: 2019 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland, 2019 CDI Hamburg, and 2020 CDI Herning. They were the 2019 Schleswig Holstein regional champions.

In September 2020 Brenske moved Devanto to Christian Flamm to be sold.

Tinne Vilhelmson's long-time sponsor Antonia Ax:son Johnson of Lovsta Stuteri acquired Devanto in November 2020. He joined Tinne's string which at the time included Benetton Dream, Paridon Magi, Esperance, Etoine, Lord Django, and Van Vivaldi, amongst other talented horses.

Tinne debuted Devanto at the CDI Wellington in January 2021, riding him to their first Grand Prix score of 69.022%. They showed in one more Wellington CDI as well as in Compiegne. A year later they returned to Wellington and had found their stride with consistent scores in the low 70s, winning four times that season. They also represented Sweden in the Nations Cups of Rotterdam and Falsterbo.

Vilhelmson consistently showed the horse in Wellington in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and in Europe she rode him in Compiegne, Rotterdam, Hagen, Herning and Falsterbo, often as part of the Swedish Nations Cup team. Assistant rider Caroline Darcourt rode him on the team for the 202( CDIO Wellinton, but Tinne finished the Wellington season with two 9th places in the Grand Prix and Kur.

While the team of Lovsta Stuteri returned hom to Sweden at the start of April, Devanto stayed in the U.S.A.

"His new home will be with Tracey Kelley, who is based in Connecticut with Grand Prix trainer Lindsay Kellock," Lovsta communicated.

Tinne added, "we are so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared with this special horse, both in competitions and at home.  Devanto and I represented Sweden in 6 Nations Cup competitions and won 2 silver medals at the Swedish Championships together. Devanto is a true gentleman with the biggest heart and will now step into the role of Tracey’s schoolmaster."
