
Polish Olympian Sandra Sysojeva became the winner of the first leg of the 2025 Central European League World Cup circuit in Mariakalnok, Hungary, on 16 - 18 May 2025.

This year the Central European League (CEL) includes 12 qualifiers where riders can gain points for the CEL ranking to earn a berth at the 2027 World Cup Finals in Fort Worth, TX. The circuit kicked off in Mariakalnok where the 10th anniversary of the show was being celebrated.
Between May and November 2025 qualifiers are being held in Olomouc (CZE), Parnu (EST), Lipica (SLO), Pilisjaszfalu (HUN), Brno (CZE), Dunajsky Klatov (SVK), Bialy Las (POL), Fot (HUN), Tallinn (EST), Wroclaw (POl) and Motesice (SVK).
Sysojeva on Top in Mariakalnok
Lithuanian born Polish team rider Sandra Sysojeva became the winner of the first leg in Mariakalnok, where Hungarian team rider Aniko Losonczy and her team hosts an entertaining weekend of competition at the highest level.
In the Grand Prix she edged out Luxembourg's Fie Skarsoe on Manon Ackermann's 12-year old Lusitano Imperador dos Cedros (by Rubi x Hostil) with 68.609%, while in the freestyle Austrian Bettina Kendlbacher came closest and finished second on her own 12-year old Austrian warmblood Broadmoars Don Alfredo (by Destano x His Highness) with 72.240%. Skarsoe was third (72.210%).
Sysojeva began her 2025 competition campaign in February, flying her mare to Doha (QAT), followed by the CDI Lier (BEL), the 2025 World Cup Finals in Basel (SUI), and now Mariakalnok (HUN). They are heading straight to Olomouc (CZE) to ride the World Cup qualifier there on 23 - 25 May 2025.
