The board before the 2025 CDIO Aachen keeps changing as another top rider dropped out just days before the start of the competition.

Horses.nl reported that Dutch number one, Dinja van Liere, will not be riding Hartsuijker. She called off her entry today. The 13-year old KWPN Hartsuijker (by Johnson x Scandic) is not fit to compete.

Hartsuijker has been Dinja's number two Grand Prix since his CDI debut in 2022. In 2023 he was selected for the European Championships in Riesenbeck after Hermes had sustained an injury, but he was withdrawn before the event. Fifteen months later he returned to the arena at the 2024 CDI-W Lyon. Dinja last showed Hartsuijker at the CDI Doha in February 2025 and did not present him at either two team selection trials in Exloo and Rotterdam for European team selection.

Van Liere's other two Grand Prix horses, Hermes and Imposantos, were also not shown at the Dutch selection trials.  Dinja is a student of Rieky Young and Hartsuijker is owned by Jan Pieter Dalsem. Yesterday Van Liere rode two Grand Prix hopefuls  - Mauro and McLaren  - in the NOPT scouting day.

Dutch team captain Patrik van der Meer called up Geert-Jan Raateland on Gladiator to replace the pair.

Van Liere is still on the list with her small tour horse Mauro for the 1* tour.
