The Dutch warmblood had the start of his career in Belgium, owned by Stephanie Walravens.

With Walravens he debuted in the 5-year old classes in 2014, finishing fourth in the third round of the 5-year old division at the Belgian Young Horse Championships. A year later he finished 9th in the 6-year old Finals test at the Belgian Championships. Walravens competed him through February 2016 at national small tour level.

In April 2016 Claudia Fassaert took over the ride briefly and showed him three times nationally before taking Esteban M to his first and only CDI in his career in Saumur in April 2016. The horse then disappeared from the show scene for three years to resurface under Nico Nyssen in 2019 at Under 25 Grand Prix level, scoring 66.282% in their debut show. Nyssen rode the horse through December 2019.

Horse dealer Jochen Arl sold Esteban M to Natalie Stickling-Morzynski.

The bay gelding showed excellent rideability and was first matched to Natalie's daughter Phelina, who rode the gelding in the children lebel tests in Westergellersen, Bettenrode, and Braunschweig.

In 2021 Natalie and Phelina alternated the ride with the horse showing first at small tour and junior level, but as of 2022 Natalie showed the horse at national Grand Prix level. Natalie Morzynski showed the horse consistently at Grand Prix level until their last show in August 2024 in Neu-Anspach.

Retirement

The Morzynski family announced the retirement of Esteban.

Natalie stated, "we got him as a Children's Horse for Phelina and then I was allowed to take him over and after a long baby break, I joined him again in tournament sport and we made it to the Grand Prix together. Unfortunately, now it went faster than expected, after recovery from the balance disorders, this happened, which should not have happened, Bani suddenly fell in training. Fortunately, everything went well, but now he will enjoy his evening on the meadow

Phelina added, "Thank you sweet Bani for everything I learnt from you. With you I became regional children champion in 2020. you also fought for me and gave me so much fun. We all closed you in our hearts and we'll miss going to shows with you. Now you can enjoy your well-earned retirement."
