German Olympian Frederic Wandres has welcomed the French owned licensed stallion Fänomen de Malleret into his training programme.
Fanomen is a 7-year old Oldenburg stallion by Foundation out of Save Secret PS (by Sezuan x Furst Romancier). He is bred by Paul Schockemöhle.
Licensed Stallion
Originally named Frescobaldi, the stallion was reared and started at the Kasselmann's Osthoff Stud.
The French based Haras de Malleret acquired the stallion at the 2021 PSI Auction for 310,000 euro.
He initially stood at Malleret in France, where in-house rider, Spaniard Alfonso De la Chica Parras, took up the training. The pair competed in the 4-year old challenge, finishing fifth in the consolation class, held during the 2022 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo.
Germany and Belgium
Fänomen then moved in training with Belgian Olympian Larissa Pauluis who premiered him in his first international show at the CDI Le Mans in May 2024. They placed second in the 6-year old preliminary test and won the finals test with 78.400%. Pauluis competed the stallion in two national tests in Belgium, the last being at the 2024 Belgian Young Horse Championships. They were 5th in the preliminary test, but did not ride the finals round.
