Ulrik Falbe-Hansen Appointed New Danish Youth Team Trainer

Ulrik Falbe-Hansen has been appointed the new Danish Team Trainer for junior, young riders and Under 25 riders. He succeeds Kenneth Damgaard.

"It was, among other things, Ulrik's positive mindset, attitude towards horse welfare and not least his ambitions to work across the entire elite dressage, so that there is a clear common thread from pony rider to senior rider level, which made the choice fall on him, "said DRF's elite sport chef Susie Dannemand.

"One of Ulrik's greatest strengths is his ability to plan, structure and follow up - something that is particularly important in the work with talent development and young riders," the Danish federation stated.

The 33-year old Falbe-Hansen is a trained rider and has previously worked at Blue Hors as a rider and part of the management team.

"I am passionate about talent development, and it is important for me to keep the focus on equipping the riders to not only progress in terms of sports, but as whole individuals," said Ulrik. "In Denmark, we have a group of incredibly talented riders with horses of really high quality and extremely competent personal trainers. They can easily perform individually, but my goal is that in the future we will become even better as a team. Community is an essential part of being 'on the national team', and I hope that they will experience that it is a great joy to be part of a team and a team - that we cheer for each other and make sure to support each other, rather than focusing on the individual's result."

Ulrik will officially start as national coach on December 1, 2025.
