A second change has taken place in the starters' list for the 2025 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt in December. Ingrid Klimke will not be showing Diafys OLD.

Diafys OLD is a 9-year old Oldenbirg gelding by Delorean out of Synovia (by D-Day x Master). He is bred by Lena Nystrom in Sweden and owned by German med student Frederike Feldhaus.

Ingrid Klimke

The black was first competed in Germany in 2021 by Stefanie Wittmann, who took him to the Bundeschampionate, where he placed 19th in the consolation finals. The pair returned to Warendorf a year later to place 4th in the 6-year old finals and in 2024 they won the 7-year old finals.

In 2024 Diafys did not compete. He returned in the spotlight in April 2025 under Ingrid Klimke at the local show in Bochum-Wattenscheid and then contested the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers in Hagen and Balve and did the small tour at the CDIO Aachen, where they were second in the Prix St Georges and fourth in the Intermediaire I.

The pair qualified for the Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt based on their score of 74.000% achieve in Balve.

Vaida-Girl OLD

Unfortunately, Klimke and Diafys OLD will not be going to Frankfurt.

Their vacant spot has been taken by the second reserve, Bianca Nowag aboard Ulrich Oberscheid's 8-year old Oldenburg mare Vaida-Girl OLD (by Vitalis x Stedinger). The pair competed at the qualifiers in Mannheim, Balve, and Elmlohe. At the latter show they scored 72.171% to be named second reserve.
