
Vaida-Girl OLD, the Oldenburg mare which competed in the 7-year old finals at the 2024 World Young Horse Championships, has got a new rider: Bianca Nowag.
Vaida-Girl OLD is a 2017 born mare by Vitalis out of Stella Girl (by Stedinger x Donnerschlag x Romadour II). She is bred by J.J. Blonk.
WCYH Finalist
The mare was first competedin 2021 as a 4-year old by Sabrina Schneider. Halfway through the season Annika Rühl took over the ride and produced her to L-level.
In the summer of 2022 Marina Welbers began competing the liver chestnut mare and qualified for the 2022 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they were 22nd in the 5-year old consolation finals with 7.8. In 2023 they rode the German selection trials for the World Young Horse Championships but didn't make the cut.
In 2024 Welbers and Vaida-Girl moved up to S level and debuted in the Prix St Georges in Rhede. They rode the German WCYH selection trials again and this time were picked for the team. In Ermelo the pair placed 8th in the preliminary test with 77.886%, qualifying for the Finals. In the finals, however, they were eliminated for being unlevel in the eyes of the judges.
Bianca Nowag
Vaida-Girl's owner Ulrich Oberscheid decided it was time for a change in rider and relocated the mare to Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock's barn.
Nowag debuted the mare on 22 March 2025 at a local show in Unna Massen and she posted 70.278% to finish third in an S-level class.
