Russian born Palestinian dressage rider Aleksandra Maksakova and her husband, Russian born Palestinian show jumping rider Egor Shchibrik, are expecting their first child together. Based in The Netherlands, the couple run a training facility for dressage and jumping horses. They got engaged in 2019 and married soon afterwards. The 28-year old Aleksandra announced her pregnancy on social media at the end of 2025.
Dutch Olympian Emmelie Scholtens is pregnant. At Jumping Amsterdam she announced that she is 20 weeks along and will be taking a little competition break from riding after the 2026 KWPN stallion licensing at the start of February. Scholtens had a roller coaster 2025 with health issues. She was pregnant with her second child but lost her baby battlinga rare type of chronic leukemia. Emmelie and her partner Jeroen Witte are parents to Micky Mae born 7 February 2022.
Søbakkehus Miss Malfoy, the 4-year old champion horse of the 2025 Danish Young Horse Championships, has moved into training with Rune Willum. Miss Malfoy was ridden to the title by Anders Hoeck, but the rider has been barred from a competition licence in 2026, so a new rider was found for this year.
Wellington based Israeli Grand Prix rider Micah Deligdish and her husband, polo player Shahmir Quraeshi, welcomed their second child, baby girl Zara, in the autumn of 2025. The couple are already parents to boy Kashif Remi Quraeshi, who was born on 7 October 2020.
