Sparaday, a double bronze medal winner at the 2025 European Young Riders Championships under Anna Teibel Raben, has found a new rider in Denmark.
In October 2025 the partnership between Raben and Sparaday ended as owner and breeder Helle Wibe took over the ride herself. The 9-year old gelding has now been matched with a new Danish Young Rider.
Raben and Sparaday
Sparaday is a Danish warmblood gelding by Torveslettens Spartacus out of Daytona Beach (by Don Frederic x Hotline).
In January 2024 Anna Teibel Raben began riding the gelding and finished fourth at the 2024 Danish Junior Riders Championships. At the 2024 European Junior Riders Championships in Opglabbeek they won team silver and finished 21st in the individual test (68.118%) after a second place in the team test (73.909%). They finished the year with a fourth place in the 7-year old division at the 2024 Danish Young Horse Championships.
In 2025 they moved to Young Riders level and were sixth at the 2025 Danish Young Riders Championships. At the 2025 European Young Riders Championships in Kronberg, they won team bronze and double bronze in the individual test and kur to Music.
Preparing for Under 25
After the Europeans in Kronberg Wibe and trainer Søren Christensen took over the ride to produce the horse to Grand Prix level.

To bring Sparaday back in the show ring, he has been matched with Danish U25 rider Ida Bjørn. She debuted the horse in competition on Saturday. They won a Prix St Georges with 74.70% at the Kirstinelund equestrian centre.
"Ida is just getting to know him and wanted to feel him in a competition situation," said Wibe. "They are are super match. We are still the happy owners, and Ida is a super skilled, positive and experienced U25 rider we really look up to. So let's see what the future brings."
After beginning her international career as a young rider in 2020, Bjørn moved to U25 level in 2024, first with Hussmann's Jackson and then with Hotson (by Hotline x Zack). On the latter she represented denmark at the 2025 European Under 25 Championships in Kronberg, where she was 13th in the short Grand Prix (69.359%).
Raben has not returned to competition with a new horse since losing the ride on Sparaday.
