Fie Skarsoe and Imperador dos Cedros No Longer a Combination

Luxembourg Fie Skarsoe and her Eurpean and World Championship ride Imperador dos Cedros are no longer a combination.

Imperador dos Cedros is a 13-year old Portuguese bred Lusitano stallion by Rubi AR out of Cortica (by Hostil). He is bred by Bruno and Adelino Carrilho of Coudelaria Quinta dos Cedros in Sintra, Portugal.

Start in Portugal

Trained by Portuguese Vasco Mira Godinho, Imperador made his international show debut as a 5-year old in the young horse classes at 2018 CDI Alter do Chão . The pair competed in four CDI's in total between 2018 and 2020, all in Portugal, and won eight out of eight young horse classes. The pair won the 7-year old division at the 2020 Portuguese Young Horse Championships.

At the time the horse was owned by Tiago Monteiro and Ricardo Pedrosa, the latter being the brother-in-law of breeder Bruno Carrilho.

At the 2022 World Championships in Herning

In January 2021 Manon Ackermann acquired the stallion for Luxembourg based Fie Skarsoe to ride. It was Fie's first Lusitano to ride. Between April 2022 and December 2025 the pair competed in 63 international classes.

They made their Grand Prix debut at the CDI Sint-Truiden in April 2022 and after showing in Troisdorf and Hagen they headed to the 2022 World Championships in Hering where they were 39th in the Grand Prix (69.829%).

In 2023 they competed at the European Championships in Riesenbeck, making it to the Grand Prix Special in which they finished 29th with 69.590%. In 2024 they had a strong season with starts in Lier, Troisdorf, Hagen, and Aachen, but the Luxembourg Olympic spot went to Nicolas Wagner that year.

Their last season as a pair was in 2025 with starts in Doha, Mannheim, Mariakalnok and Aachen before heading to the European Championships in Crozet, where they placed 29th in the Special with 69.982%. They finished the year competing on the World Cup circuit in Radzionkow, Lyon, London and Mechelen.

Return to Portugal

Skarsoe and Imperador were strikingly absent this 2026 show season and Fie confirmed to Eurodressage the stallion has left her stable.

Ackermann confirmed the news.

At their last show in Mechelen in December 2025

"As I live now in Portugal, I decided to have all my horses with me, so Imperador is now in Portugal where I have some new projects for him," Manon told Eurodressage. "I look foward to a nice future for my lovely Imperador dos Cedros."

Ackermann now works with Portuguese trainer Gonçalo Linhas.
