Vantastisch, Best Seller at Monster Size Foal Auction at 2026 Westfalian Championships

Vantastisch became the best selling lot in a monster-size collection of foals up for auction during the 2026 Westfalian Young Horse Championships in Munster-Handorf on 1 August 2026.

The gigantic sized collection of 110 (!) lots was on offer, including horse and pony foals, as well as embryos. The aucton had to be split into two parts due to its size. It took nearly seven hours to finish the auction. The breeding society reported that 85% of the collection sold to new owners. 

Dressage Foals

The top price was a whopping 80,000 euro for Vantastisch (by Vjento x Ampere), bred by Dutch Noortje Radstake. The bay colt sold to local bidders. 

The second highest price was the unoriginally named colt Sir Hotline (by Sir Heinrich x Hotline), bred by Norbert Horstmann. He sold for 56,000 euro.

Vom Feinsten (by V-Power x San Amour) fetched 45,000 euro, while a Luxembourg client bought Floribella (by For Romeo x Vitalis) for 41,000 euro. Alfons Baumann's Venice Beach (by Vitalamour x Duino) found a new owner for 30,000 euro.

Terminator (by Topal Hope x Rocco Granata) had a hammer price of 27,500 euro; Vermont (by Viva Vegas x Morricone) went for 21,000 euro. Feel Good (by For Romeo x Vitalis) moves to Spain for 20,500 euro.

Two foals sold for 20,000 euro: Bellingham II (by Bonds x Franziskus) Glamour Love (by Glamourdale x Ibiza).

Indian Gold (by Independent x Totilas) sold to Denmark for 17,500 euro. Endless Summer (by Escanto x San Amour) stays in Germany for 17,000 euro.

V-Sun Unique B (by V-Power x Sezuan) sold for 16,000 euro, Viona SL (by Vitalis x Sir Heinrich) for 15,500 euro, whole the black colt Desmond PST (by Dante Weltino x Sandro Hit) went for 15,000 euro.

Venice Beach
Foreign customers bought quote a few foals: Dutch clients secured Getut Hulsdau's Dyva La Vida (by Dynamite x Vitalis) for 10,500 euro, Louis Vuitton (by La Vie x De Kooning) for 10,500 euro, and the Dutch bred and owned Da Vinci (by Daan G x Jameson) returns to Holland for 6,000 euro.

An American bought Lords Little Princess TL (by Lord Europe x Franziskus) for 10,000 euro. Eike (by Eastwood x Foundation) and Viktor FF (by Velvedere x Sandro Hit) go to Switzerland for 7,000 and 9,000 euro. Bon Jovi (by Be My Dancer x For Final) goes to Spain for 6,000 euro. An Austrian got Legendary (by Lord Europe x Zack) for 5,000 euro.

The average price for a riding horse foal in this collection was calculated at 12,405 euro; 84 riding horse foals were sold.

Pony Foals

Kindheitstraum
The top-priced pony foal was the filly Kindheitstraum. Bred by Dietmar Boom, she is by Komet x  FS Golden Moonlight) and sold to return clients from the Rhineland for 16,000 euro.

Go Diva B (b Gold Garant x Caramel) went for 7,500 euro, Nurielle de Luxe (by Noble Dance x Champion de Luxe) sold for 6,000 euro.

Espe Full Sibling Embryo

An implanted embryo by Escolar out of a mare by Dimaggio (breeder and exhibitor: Christoph Gehre) sold for 11,000 euro. The foal is expected to be born in 2027. It will be a full sibling to the successful horses Espe and Ellis.
