American dressage rider Lauren Chumley is listed as the new owner of Rebecca Rigdon's internationally competed Grand Prix horse Iquem.

Iquem is a 13-year old Dutch warmblood mare by Charmeur out of Tres Bien Sijgje (by Moreno x Focus). She is bred by A. De Baere.

Yquem was named after the renowned sweet wine Chateau d'Yquem. She's a half sister to Ellesse Gundersen's Malibu (by Franklin out of Tres Bien Sijgje).

The dark bay mare was sourced by California based American professional dressage rider Rebecca Rigdon as a young horse.  She produced and competed her up the levels to Grand Prix and co-owned the horse with Lauren Fischer.

The duo debuted in 2017 in Del Mar at first level. A year later they won bronze at the 2018 U.S. Young Horse Championships in the 5-year old division. By 2020 the mare reached small tour level and won the Region 7 Championships in the 7-year old division. In 2021 they were fifth in the 2021 U.S. Developing Prix St. Georges Horse Championship .

Their international show debut was in November 2021 at small tour level in Thermal. Three month later they showed there again and won the PSG and Inter I. They also did the CDI Temecula that spring, followed by  bronze at the 2022 U.S. Small Tour Championships in the summer.

The pair made the transition to Grand Prix level in 2021 and placed fifth at the 2023 Developing Grand Prix Horse Championship. They consolidated the GP moves by showing nationally through 2024. Iquem did only one CDI at Grand Prix level in May 2024 in Temecula. It was her last international and last show with Rigdon.

Iquem resurfaced on the U.S. show scene two years later with a new rider and owner onboard, Lauren Chumley.

"I am friends with Rebecca and have been a fan of Iquem for years, since she was a young horse. The owners needed to sell and Iquem had some health issues and can be a very quirky girl," Chumley told Eurodressage. "Rebecca thought she could do well with me so she and the co-owner were kind enough to make it possible for me to acquire her."

She debuted her at the Loch Moy spring fling dressage show at fourth level and in the PSG in April 2026. They did an Intermediaire II in July 2026 at Sussex Country Dressage, scoring 72.059%. Most recently they competed in the Test of Choice classes at Dressage at Devon, winning twice with 67,794% and 69.118%, twice riding an Intermediaire II test.

"So proud of this Monster Mare. What a bumpy road. What a journey," Chumley stated on Facebook. "Devon was to be her final exam and she blew me away. What a horse."

When asked what her goals are with Iquem, Lauren replied, "to return her to Grand Prix fitness but in the meantime I am enjoying riding and working with such a talented and well-trained mare."
