The CDI Hardenberg Klassika, taking place May 22 to 25, 2003, in Norten-Hardenberg, Germany, is promising to be one the most exciting dressage competitions of the year
prior to the 2003 European Dressage Championships in Hickstead, England, August 2003.
Hosted by Dukes Carl and Ferdinand von Hardenberg, the CDI Hardenberg Klassika is set near the Hardenberg castle and is the location for Grand Prix competition, as well as for a Nurnberg Burgpokal qualifier. What is most attractive about this event, is that a large number of the top European and American riders that have entered their horses for this exclusive show.
Besides the fact that the Hardenberg Klassika is one of the most beautiful dressage competitions in Germany, it is also a festival for Garden and Life Art.
Representatives of the German dressage team in Hardenberg are Ulla Salzgeber with Wall Street, Nadine Capellmann with Farbenfroh, Isabell Werth, Klaus Husenbeth and Heike Kemmer. Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff's participation with Renoir is unsure.
The Germans will be competing against the Spanish team with Beatriz Ferrer Salat on Beauvalais (her first outing of the year), Ignacio Ramblas and Eduardo Mellado with Hortelano as team members.
The American team will be represented by Lisa Wilcox on Relevant, George Williams on Rocher and Gunter Seidel on Nikolaus.
Other top names that will be present are Lone Jorgenssen, Jan Brink, Gonnelien Rothenberger, Marlies van Baalen, Ellen Schulten Baumer, Martin Schaudt, Kyra Kyrklund, Richard Davison and Emile Faurie.
