New Zealand 33-year-old mother of two, Catherine Scott, is happy with the performance of her intriguingly named gelding, Oscar de la Hoya, in his first overseas international competition.
From the North Island, Scott only recently began competing at this level and was thrilled about having the opportunity of a top level experience at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. "I am just really excited to be here competing at this event," she said. "My coach (New Zealand Olympic hopeful Louisa Hill) will be competing this afternoon and I am looking forward to watching her compete as well."
She said she was pleased with her result of 58.25 percent in the International Prix St Georges competition, which had not put her among the top ranking finishers, but was still a satisfying result.
