The exact same trio of stallions which won the first leg of the 2010-2011 KWPN Stallion Competition, reigned again at the second qualifier held in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on Wednesday 15 December 2010. Bon Bravour, Astrix and Zhivago pushed for power and finished first in their divisions.
Sadly it was the second time in a row that a low amount of participants showed up for the qualifier. Only the M-level class counted a fair amount of competitors with eight combinations present.
The Belgian Tom Franckx-Goen and the Dutch bred stallion Bon Bravour (by Painted Black x Gribaldi) scored a total of 83 points and finished first in a field of just four combinations. Emmelie Scholtens and the bay Briljant (by Uphill x Darlington) followed in second place with 79 points.
Scholtens and 2010 World Young Horse Champion Astrix (by Obelisk x Olivi) dominated the M-level division with an 85 point score, but the combination certainly felt the heat from Theo Hanzon and Amazing Star (by Flemmingh x Ferro) who finished second with just one points less (84 pts). Scholtens and Apache (by UB40 x Krack C) ranked third with 82,5 points
At Z-level , Theo Hanzon and the athletic bay Zhivago (by Krack C x Jazz) floated to victory with 85.00. The second placed pair, Laurens van Lieren on Wonderboy (by Ramon x Nimmerdor) followed in a distance with 79.50 points, while Dineke Verhoog and Zucchero (by Derpardieu x Caprimond) slotted in third with 73 points.
