The 2011 Equine Canada Annual Convention is set for January 24–31, 2011 at the Lord Elgin Hotel in Ottawa, ON. For eight days, members of the equestrian community from across Canada will be able to participate in a selection of meetings, clinics, seminars, symposiums and forums.
These are tailored to the unique issues affecting each of Equine Canada’s four divisions—Sport, Recreation, Provinces and Breeds & Industry. Convention clinics and symposiums will include
• Breeds & Industry Division (B&I) Assembly and Export Seminar,
• Introduction to Endurance Clinic,
• General Stewards’ Clinic,
• Hunter, Hunt Seat/Equitation & Hack Judges Clinic,
• Hunter/Jumper Course Design Clinic (two days),
• Jumper Judges’ Clinic,
• National Coaching Symposium: Analyzing Performance & The New Coaching Stream (two days),
• Reining Judges’ Clinic (two days), and
• Competition Organizer’s Clinic.
The 2011 Convention will also play host to the 2011 Equine Canada Awards Gala, taking place at the prestigious National Arts Centre on Saturday, January 29th. Join Equine Canada for a full evening of fine dining and entertainment, as we reflect on our successes of 2010 and honour our national award winners. Equine Canada’s most coveted awards include Equestrian of the Year, Junior Equestrian of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and the Equine Canada Media Award, which will be presented during the gala dinner.
