The 2013 Bundeschampion Damon's Dream achieved the top knock down price at the 2013 Westfalian Autumn Elite Auction in Munster-Handorf on Sunday 6 October 2013.
The liver chestnut and spectacularly moving gelding by Damon Hill x Furst Heinrich sold for 270,000 euro to a local dressage enthusiast. Sandra Frieling and Damon's Dream (breeder: Jörn Heinrich) scored 10 for trot and 9.5 for canter to win the 2013 Bundeschampionate.
The second most expensive horse was Don Aurelio (by Daddy Cool x Cornet Obolensky), bred by Wolfgang Kaiser. This show jumper sold for 80,000 euro to the Ukraine.
Thr third most expensive horse was 3-year old bay gelding Bellheim (by Benetton Dream x Damon Hill). He sold for 67,500 euro to Bavaria. The 4-year old chestnut mare Donnatella (by Dresemann x Florestan) sold for 55,000 euro. The same knock down price was achieved by the 3-year old black mare Superia (by Sternberg x Furst Heinrich).
The most expensive pony was Grorg Tenkleve's mare Velina (by Vincent x Notre Beau), which sold for 30,000 euro to a Rhineland based stable.
The average price for a sport horse at this auction was 29,854 euro. The average price for a sport pony was 14,125 euro.
