Dance Salentin, Best Seller at 2014 Westfalian Spring Elite Auction

The 4-y uear old Westfalian gelding Dance Salentin became the best selling horse at the 2014 Westfalian Spring Elite Auction in Munster-Handorf on 6 April 2014. The bay gelding sold for 67,000 euro to Australia.

Dance Salentin is by Don Diamond out of state premium mare Salice Salentina (by Sandro Hit x Liberty). He is bred by Ellen Mollemann and was owned by Training Stable Inholte from Hamburg.

The second most expensive horse was Diwero, a 4-year old gelding by Damond Hill x Royal of Loh. He sold for 55,000 euro.

The 4-year old stallion Abercrombie, by Ampere out of the 2008 Westfalian Elite Mare Champion Deprice (by Damon Hill x Fruhlingsball) achieved a knock down price of 52,000 euro.

The recently approved chestnut stallion Barrios (by Belissimo M) was purchased back by his owner (Volker Schmale) for 45,000 euro.

The 5-year old chestnut gelding Feiner Kerl (by Furst Piccolo x Dimension) sold for 44,000 euro.

Thirty)five horses in total were sold at this auction and they achieved an average price of 23,357 euro. 

A collection of 15 foals was already offered for sale this early in the season and all of them sold. The best seller was a bay filly by Don Cesar x Laurentianer x Mon Cheri, which sold for 20,000 euro.

The average foal price was 5,880 euro.
