The 4-year old bay Rhinelander mare Be My Love (by Basic x Fiderglanz) became the price highlight of the 2015 Handorf Extra January auction of Westfalian sport horses in Munster-Handorf on Sunday 25 January 2015.
Austrian Sissy Max-Theurer acquired the mare for 100,000 euro.
The second most expensive horse was the 4-year old bay gelding Fuego (by First Selection x Furst Piccolo). He sold for 36,000 euro to Bavaria.
The 4-year old bay mare Vergissmeinnicht (by Vitalis x Florestan) achieved a knock down price of 31,000 euro and sold to Russia.
Fifteen 2-year old horses were also offered on sale at the auction. Paul Schockemohle bought the most expensive one, Calle vom Kiez (by Cornet Obolensku x Pontifex) for 36,000 euro. The dressage bred colt Azarro (by Apache x Ehrentusch) sold for 30,000 euro.
Thirty-three sport horses were offered for auction and they achieved an average price os 16,685 euro. The average prize for a youngster was 15,847 euro. Five horses sold to the U.S.A.
