The bay gelding Veltins (by Vitalis x Furstentraum x Davignon I) became the price highlight of the 2015 Handorf Extra Summer Auction of Westfalian sport horses on Sunday 7 June 2015.
The 3-year old Veltins sold for 50,000 euro to a dressage rider from Hamburg.
The 4-year old Westfalian mare Real Love E (by Rock Forever x Glorieux) was the second most expensive horse and sold for 31,500 euro to Bavaria.
The 4-year old bay gelding Leopold (by Licosto x Lafitte) switched owners for 27,000 euro and moves to Sweden, while the 5-year old dark bay gelding Sir Wilhelm (by Sandro Hit x Weinberg) will be relocating to a British stable for 25,000 euro. The 4-year old chestnut gelding First Select (by First Selection x Ad Hoc) sold for a knock down price of 24,000 euro to a Hessian barn.
A total of 32 horses were auctioned and seven of them sold abroad. The average price for a sport horse at this auction was 16,078 euro which is a record for the Handorf Extra Summer Auction.
