Executorial Sale of Internationally Competed Grand Prix Horse Rossini on 8 February 2016 in Deauville

The 2016 renewal of the February Mixed Sale, which will take place on Monday 8 February 2016 in the Elie de Brignac sales complex in Deauville, France, will have the distinction of opening up with Lot number 1, Rossini, an internationally competed Grand Prix level dressage horse. This sale will take place within the context of the compulsory liquidation of the company Biosem.

Competing under renowned dressage rider Anne-Sophie Serre since obtaining the title of Vice Champion of France at the Critérium Espoir Grand Tour in 2012, the Bavarian bred Rossini (by Rivero II out of Domenika by Charivari) has made his mark at the highest level, most notably landing the title of French champion at the Critérium Espoir GT in 2013 and finishing second in the Grand Prix Vidauban in 2015.

This 13-year old gelding, who has no less than 36 victories to his name, was also A-team listed in France in the Olympic/WEG squad (JO-JEM) in 2014, with the aim of qualifying for the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Not seen in competition since the CDI 3* at Saumur in May 2015 due to the compulsory liquidation of his owner's company, Rossini has remained in full training in order to maintain all his ability and well-being.
