The Westfalian stallion Zoom and the Baden Wurttemberger bred Secret are the best represented sires with the most offspring, 5 each, pre-selected for the 2020 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden in October.
The Hanoverian pre-selection days began in Alsfeld on 7 September 2020 and concluded in Verden on 18 September 2020.
Zoom Impresses
The highly popular breeding stallion Secret (by Sezuan x St Moritz) had no less than 31 offspring from his first crop registered for the pre-selection but the committee only accepted five of them to the licensing.
From a statistical point of view, the Westfalian Zoom (by Zack x Don Schufro) did the best business at the pre-selection with 9 sons entered and 5 of them getting picked for the licensing!
The second best represented sire with 3 offspring is the Hanoverian Benicio (by Belissimo M x Velten Third).
51 Dressage Colts
The Hanoverian licensing committee consists of Ulrich Hahne, Heike Kemmer, Hannes Baumgart, Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen, and Martin Spoo for dressage and with Jörn Wedermann and Matthias Klatt sometimes stepping in as reserve pre-selection members.
This panel selected 51 dressage colts and 30 show jumping bred colts in total for the licensing, which takes place 20 - 24 October 2020 with only a limited amount of people allowed as audience.
