Helen Langehanenberg's home bred small tour mare Drama Queen has been sold to Switzerland. She will continue as the junior rider's horse of Sabrina Rietiker.

Drama Queen is a 9-year old Westfalian mare by Deveraux out of Louisiana (by FS Louis Le Bon x Lasino x Caletto I). She is bred by Helen Langehanenberg and is the half sister to Dreikäsehoch (by Dimaggio).

The chestnut mare was trained and competed by Sabrina Gessmann, one of Helen's principal assistant riders at her yard.

Gessmann and "Puppi" made their show debut in April 2017 in the riding horse class at the local show in Neuenkirchen.

In 2018 the pair was nominated to represent Germany at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where the 5-year old mare finished 12th in the consolation finals. At the 2018 Bundeschampionate they were 29th in the consolation finals for 5-year olds.

In 2019 they missed out on German team selection for Ermelo, and at the Bundeschampionate they were 16th in the consolation finals for 6-year old Dressage Horses. In 2020 the pair got re-selected for the World Young Horse Championships in Verden in the 7-year old division, but the event was cancelled due to Covid.

In 2021 Gessmann and Drama Queen rode the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers at Hof Bettenrode, in Elmlohe and Verden. The show in August was their last.

Sold to Switzerland

Drama Queen will now continue her sport career under Sabrina Rietiker.

Rietiker is already competing at national Junior level aboard the Oldenburg bred Avangarde de Lus (by Ampere x Rubin Royal) and the 15-tear old Holsteiner bred Cuantano SL (by Con Sherry x Alcatraz).

"She (Sabrina Rietiker) is a great talent, brings a lot of feeling for riding and is a perfect match for Drama Queen," said Helen Langehanenberg. "the two of them are a real dream team that we will be hearing a lot more about. I am sure of it."
