Ramblas Leads the Way in French Shopping Spree at 2024 Van Olst Sales "The Young Ones"

Ramblas became the top selling horse in the 2024 Van Olst Sales, an online auction of "Young Ones" for which the bidding concluded on 25 November 2024.

The collection included 18 carefully selected young talents sired by Van Olst stallions and/or carefully reared and handled at the yard. There were five 2-year olds, twelve 3-year olds, and two 4-year olds for sale.

French Shopping Spree

The 4-year old Ramblas (by Lantanas x Glamourdale) fetched the highest price. For 50,000 euro he sold to France. Ramblas was licensed at the KWPN stallion licensing, but he never did the performance test. He was gelded to be focused on sport. He was already offered for sale in the KWPN Online auction in August, but did not sell. In Van Olst's auction he was the highlight and caught the interest of a French dressage rider.

French buyer thought it was Black Friday as no less than seven horses in this auction.

Also going to France is the 3-year old Roeber Groll (by Lantanas x Glamourdale) for 11,500 euro, the 3-year old Rosaleigh NA (by Lantanas x Negro) for 15,000 euro, the 3-year old Ready to Rumble VK (by Kjento x Vivaldi) for 12,000 euro, the 3-year old Racoon (by Lantanas x Vivaldo) for 10,000 euro, the 3-year old Rousseau (by Kjento x Chippendale) for 9,500 euro, and the 2-year old Secret Glamour (by Glamourdale x George Clooney) for 8,500 euro.

Green Youngsters

The collection featured young horses, who were very green: either not yet trained, or only just started under saddle, with the exception of two 4-year olds.

The 4-year old Prospect NA (by Lantanas x Negro) and 3-year old Ready to Dance (by Lantanas x George Clooney) will both stay in The Netherlands for 21,000 euro. He already sold as a foal in this auction for 10,000 euro.

The 3-year old mare Ready to Dance (by Lantanas x George Clooney) also sold for 21,000 but will stay in The Netherlands.

Americans did a good deal on the 3-year old stallion Ranger van de Heernis (by Kjento x Son de Niro) securing him for 20,000 euro. Also moving to the U.S.A. is Ringo (by Everdale x Ampere) for 14,000 euro.

A Brit bought the 2-year old stallion Sombra (by Kjento x Andretti) for 12,000 euro. A Spaniard bought the 3-year old Rento (by Kjento x Uphill) for 20,000 euro.

The 3-year old mare Rosa Bella L (by Lantanas x Don Romantic) will stay in Holland for 14,500 euro. She did well in the KWPN mare inspection and was invited to the 2024 KWPN Mare Championship.
