Cathrine Dufour's second Grand Prix horse in the barn, Vividus QRE, has moved to the U.S.A. German horse dealer Jochen Arl matched the Swedish warmblood gelding to 2022 U.S. WEG team rider Katie Duerhammer.
Vividus QRE is a 9-year old gelding by Zaladin MI out of Dittrich (by Don Charly x Martini x Ceylon). He is bred by Christian Påhlsson in Sweden.
Sold to Denmark
The liver chestnut was secured as foal for 11,250 euro by Blue Hors stud at the 2015 Swedish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction.
In 2020 the horse was listed as owned by Tina Merrild Vind Storm and the 5-year old Vividus made his show debut under Anders Sjøbeck Hoeck in July 2020 at a national show in Skanderborg, where he finished second.
Over the summer Hoeck and Vividus clinched Swedish team selection for the 2020 World Young Horse Championships, but the show was cancelled due to Covid-19. At the end of September they finished their season with a 6th place in the 2020 Swedish Warmblood Young Horse Championships in Flyinge.
Cathrine Dufour
In November 2021 Vividus was acquired by Cathrine Dufour, Rasmine Laudrup and business partners, the Zinglersen family.
Dufour premiered him in competition in January 2022 at MB-level and by the autumn he was established at small tour level. Their CDI debut was in October 2022 in Aarhus, where they placed in the top five in the two small tour classes.
In April 2023 the 8-year old Vividus did his first Intermediaire II test and by September 2023 he won the first ever Danish Developing Grand Prix horse championship with a score of 76.124% in the Short Grand Prix.
Their international Grand Prix debut was at the CDI Herning in March 2024, where they won the Grand Prix with 72.282%. Two months later they scored a double victory at the CDI Aalborg with 74.022% in the Grand Prix. Another two months later they showed in the CDI Falsterbo for another double victory with a Grand Prix score of 72.783%.
Falsterbo in July 2024 was the pair's last show as Vividus did not appear at the CDI-W Herning on 17 - 20 October 2024, where the crowds and fans were expecting him in the 3* tour.
Move to the U.S.A.
Jochen Arl matched Vividus QRE to American Grand Prix rider Katie Duerrhammer as her L.A Olympic hopeful.
Originally from Greenwood Village, CO, Katie rides for Kylee Lourie at TYL Dressage with a base in Wellington, Florida in winter and Colorado in summer. She trains with Adrienne Lyle.
Duerhammer first made it onto the U.S. team in 2022 when she rode Lourie's Brandenburg bred Quartett (by Quaterback x Dream of Glory) to a 34th place in the Grand Prix (70.839%) at the World Championships in Herning. Since then Kylee has been riding the chestnut herself, while Katie continued with Lourie's Paxton (by Dante Weltino x Don Marco).
Vividus has joined Duerrhammer in the U.S.A. at the start of November after Team TYL moved from Colorado to Wellington, Florida, for the season.
Louree has put her Wellington branch of TYL farm on the market as next year the entire team behind Adrienne Lyle will be based out of Heidi Humphries' newly acquired, larger facility in Wellington.
