Andrea Timpe's Grand Prix horse Friesen Ball has moved to the United States. Timpe sold the 15-year old as a schoolmaster to Wellington, Florida.
Friesen Ball is a 2010 born Oldenburg gelding by Furstenball out of Granate (by Sandro Hit x Rubinstein x Feingau). He is bred at Stall Troff and has five full siblings. His maternal half brother Don Troff (by Florencio) also competes at Grand Prix level.

Originally purchased by Ricarda Wottawa at the 2013 Winter Mixed Sales in Vechta, the bay gelding was first competed as a 4-year old in 2014 by Theresa Wahler. In 2015 he was once competed by Verena Nass before Andrea Timpe took over the ride in the winter of 2015-2016.
Friesen Ball was developed to Grand Prix level by Timpe. As a young horse she showed him at regional and national events and introduced him to S-level in 2018.
He did his first Medium tour test at national level in the summer of 2019 and premiered at international medium tour level in June 2021 at the CDI Herzlake. Shortly afterwards she rode him in his first national grand Prix test in October 2021 when the horse was 11.
The pair's international show debut at big tour level was at the 2022 CDI Lier, where they posted 65.891% in the Grand Prix. That year they also campaigned at CDI's in Stadl Paura, Troisdorf and Hagen. Their technical GP high score was in the Special in Stadl Paura (66.766%). Their top Kur score was at their last CDI in October 2022 (69.125%).
Nationally Friesen Ball competed through November 2023. He did not show in 2024.
Sold to the U.S.A.
Friesen Ball has been sold to the U.S.A for the Wellington based amateur dressage lover Deborah Turcotte to ride.
"My plans are to enjoy the ride on a beautifully trained Grand Prix schoolmaster," Deborah told Eurodressage. "It’s a privilege and an honor to have a horse like this."
