The German equestrian federation has announced the qualifiers for the Nurnberger Burgpokal show circuit of 2026. One new venue has been included in the line-up.
For 2026 the show in Mannheim has been dropped from the Burgpokal series and replaced with the CDN "Fichtenhof Classics" in Schäftlarn, south of Munich near lake Starnberg, on 4 - 6 September 2025.
The Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals were established with the help of Dr. Reiner Klimke, and is a show circuit for developing Prix St Georges horses aged 7 - 9. Riders of all nationalities can participate but they need to have a German FN licence.
Eight qualifiers are held before the finals. The winners of each qualifier as well as the four highest scoring combinations at these qualifiers that are not winners will be invited to the final.
The 2026 Burgpokal qualifiers are:
- Hagen - 22 - 26 April 2026
- Munich - 14 - 17 May 2026
- Balve - 4 - 7 June 2026
- Görlitz - 16 - 19 July 2026
- Elmlohe - 3 July - 2 August.2026
- Schäftlarn - 4 - September 2026
- Darmstadt-Kranichstein - 17 - 20 September 2026
- Guxhagen-Dörnhagen - 8 - 11 October 2026
The finals traditionally take place in Frankfurt. For 2026 they will be on 16 - 20 December 2026.
