The 14-year old Westfalian bred former Dutch team pony FS Coco Jambo has been sold to Italian pony rider Edoardo Zara.

Bred by Hubert Fockenberg in Germany, FS Coco Jambo is by FS Champion de Luxe out of Dancing Flower (by Dressman).

Licensed Stallion in Germany

The buckskin became a licensed breeding stallion in Germany, getting approved for the Rhinelander studbook in 2008. He did a shortened 2-day performance test that year and scored 8.88.

He began his sport career in Germany as a 3-year old under Jana Freund and was 7th at the 2009 Bundeschampionate. In 2010 they finished 5th at the Bundeschampionate and in 2011 Freund alternated the ride on the pony stalion with Kira Elmmann. Kira rode Coco Jambo at the 2011 Bundeschampionate but the pair had to retire in the qualifier and did not compete in the consolation round.

In his short time as a breeding stallion in Germany, he sired four licensed sons (FS Caracas, FS Coconut Dream, Cupcake, and one still nameless son) and three state premium mares.

Dutch Team Pony

In 2012 the buckskin moved to The Netherlands and made his international show debut under Febe van Zwambagt at the CDI Biarritz, after he had won the bronze medal at the 2012 Dutch young pony Championships.

In 2013 Febe and Coco Jambo only did one CDI (Drachten) and won the 2013 Dutch Indoor Pony Championships, but then the pony disappeared from the international scene for a year.

In 2014 Febe and Coco returned to win the 2014 Dutch Indoor Pony Championships and then had successful starts in Vidauban, which secured her a spot on the Dutch team for the 2014 European Pony Champoonships in Millstreet, Ireland, where they were 16th in the freestyle. It was Febe's last year on ponies and they finished their time with a silver medal at the 2014 Dutch Outdoor Pony Championships.

Coco Jambo moved on to Romy Verweij, who only did one CDI with him, the 2016 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland after which Coco disappeared again.

After that they did not cross borders for two years. They returned for their second international at the CDI Sint-Truiden in August 2020, where they were 14th in the Freestyle.

Sold to Italy

FS Coco Jambo has now been sold to Paola Lerma for her son, Edoardo Zara, to ride.

With the 16-year old Der Kleine Lord (by Der Feine Lord x Amigo Valeur), the 13-year old Zara competed on the Italian team at the 2020 European Pony Championships in Budapest this summer.
