Fie Skarsoe's number one Grand Prix horse One Night Stand has been retired from competition sport. He is 19 years old.
One Night Stand is a Dutch warmblood gelding by Olivi out of Linda (by Ferro). He is bred by W. Verdellen and was originally named Ulrich.
Initially owned by Dagmar Börner, the dark bay gelding became Skarsoe's new Grand Prix ride after Doreen.
The combination made its international show debut at small tour level at the CDI Hagen in April 2011. In 2012 they competed in Hagen, Deauville, Perl and Leudelange.
In 2013 they moved up to Grand Prix level with a first CDI start in Roosendaal, The Netherlands. They showed at international Grand Prix level through 2017 with highlight the 2015 European Dressage Chammionships in Aachen, where they were 64th in the Grand Prix with 64.429%. Their Grand Prix test high score was 68.260%. In 2017 they won silver at the Luxembourg Grand Prix Championship.
In 2018 So Dark (by San Remo x Rotspon) followed in One Night Stand's footsteps as the number one Grand Prix horse in the barn. The dark bay gelding returned two more times to the CDI show ring in 2019 as a young rider's horse for Fie's student Victoria Marie Schönhofen, who owns So Dark. Victoria and One Night Stand competed at the CDi's in Exloo and Leudelange at Young Riders level.

Leudelange
"I’m so lucky that you came in to my life 10 years ago," said Skarsoe. "I’m so lucky that my boy is sound and still top fit, but I promised him and myself to retire him healthy and happy and we had 10(!) fantastic sports years together. Now he has a fantastic time and a super box and field next to my fantastic ”Münchhausen” at lovely Gestüt Wiesenhof."
