Woodlander Fort Worth, renamed For Kingdom

Woodlander Fort Worth, the newly licensed 2.5 year old Oldenburg stallion out of international Grand Prix mare Dornröschen, has been added to Gestut Sprehe's stallion roster for 2021.

Woodlander Fort Worth is by For Emotion out of Dornröschen (by Dimaggio x Caprimond). He is bred by Lynne Crowden at Woodlander Stud in Great Britain.

The bright bay stallion is a half brother to World Young Horse Champion, Woodlander Farouche (by Furst Heinrich out of Dornröschen).

German dressage rider and horse trainer Pascal Kandziora presented the bay stallion at the 2020 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta, where got accepted for breeding.

Gestut Sprehe has now announced that Fort Worth has been added to their stallion roster for 2021. They also renamed the stallion "For Kingdom". Crowden had sold the stallion to Kandziora, who then arranged a breeding contract with Sprehe.  Australian Simone Pearce will get the ride on the tall stallion.

"We are delighted," Crowden told Eurodressage. "There was a lot of interest in him. If Simone can take him to the World Championships that would be great."

Pearce, who also rode sire For Emotion during her time at Helgstrand Dressage, is also thrilled with the new addition.

"To me For Kingdom is a an even more modern version of his sire and I'm very much looking forward to how he will develop as breeding stallion and potential top athlete."
