Gert-Jan van Olst has sold his Hanoverian bred stallion George Clooney to a British investor. For the moment, the 9-year old will remain in training with Severo Jurado Lopez in Denmark.

George Clooney is a 2011 born Hanoverian by De Niro out of Wallone (by Wolkentanz I x Forrest xx). He is bred by Ulrike Lahmann-Gehrke.

Dam Wallone is a top dressage horse producer. She produced two full brothers to George Clooney that have competed at Grand Prix level: Delmar (Peter Brenske) and Despino (Martin Schaudt, Young-Shik Hwang). Half brother Delphino (by Danone II) competes under Swiss Noemi Zindel at international young riders level.

The stallion is licensed with the Hanoverian, Oldenburg and KWPN society. His most successful offspring so far is the 2020 NRPS performance test winner "Gregory".

George Clooney has been trained by the riders at Van Olst stud. He was first competed in the 2016-2017 KWPN Stallion Competition circuit by Charlotte Fry. In 2017 the pair was 8th in the Pavo Cup semi finals for 6-year olds.

Assistant rider Franka Loos took over the reins. She mainly rode him at national shows and so far the horse only competed at one international, the 2018 CDI 1* in Ermelo. In 2019 they competed at national small tour level.

In September 2020, George Clooney was sent to Denmark to get trained to Grand Prix level by Severo Jurado Lopez.

(Editor's note, the buyer was later on identified as Siri Evjemo Sysveen)
