The German Equestrian Federation has announced the venues where the Piaff Forderpreis qualifiers will take place in 2021. This Under 25 show circuit will also count as team selection trial for the 2021 European Under 25 Championships.
Four Venues
The Piaff Forderpreis traditionally kicks off with the training and qualification seminar in Warendorf, where the best 15 pairs are selected for the circuit. In 2021 this seminar will take place on 18 - 20 February 2021 in Warendorf.
Four venues have been selected for the 2021 Piaff Forderpreis circuit
- Mannheim - 16 - 17 May 2021
- Wiesbaden - 29 May - 1 June 2021
- Balve - 3 - 6 June 2021
- Elmlohe - 8 - 12 July 2021
A qualified during the Chiemsee Horse Days at Gut Ising (4 - 6 September 2021) were briefly announced as final qualifier, but then scratched from the list.
Riders can score qualifcation points at these events and qualify for the Finals which will be held in Stuttgart on 11 - 15 November 2021.
Team Selection 2021 European Under 25 Championships
The German equestrian federation initially announced that the qualifier in Mannheim will count as first German team selection trial for the 2021 European Under 25 Championships in Budapest, followed by a second team qualification moment at the CDI Riesenbeck (18 - 21 June 2020). In addition the German selectors will take scores achieved at CDI's into account for team selection.
Monica Theodorescu, however, told Eurodressage that as team selection the international scores achieved at the CDI Mannheim, followed by the results at German Under 25 Championships/Piaff qualifier in Balve and those at the Piaff Forderpreis in Elmlohe will be the basis for team qualification.
