The 2021 edition of the Hamburg Dressage Derby and its CDI competition has been rescheduled from May to August 2021 in the hopes that no strict corona measures will stand in its way.

The Hamburg Dressage Derby in the Klein Flottbek park is one of Germany's longest standing equestrian competition. In 2020 it was supposed to celebrate its 100th anniversary, but the event got canceled due to COVID-19.

The organizers had planned on hosting the event again on its usual dates mid May, but for 2021 they decided to push it to August.

"A show like the German Jumping and Dressage Derby is inconceivable without an audience, and frankly financially not viable," show director Volker Wolff told St. Georg

The new dates for Hamburg will be 25 - 29 August 2021, the same weekend as the 2021 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden.
