The 14-year old KWPN licensed stallion Charmingmood has been sold to the Dutch based Greek dressage rider Jiochanna "Anna" Androniki-Kordatzaki

Charmingmood is a 2007 born KWPN stallion by Winningmood out of Nedorette W (by Contango x Belfalas xx). He is bred by Sjak Laarakkers, Christa Larmoyeur and GW van Norel.

Licensed

The stallion was licensed at the 2010 KWPN Stallion Licensing and sold to Adri Zekveld at the 2010 KWPN Select Sale for 80,000 euro.

The stallion did his performance test in the spring of 2010. He scored 8.5 for walk, and 7.5 for trot, canter, suppleness, self carriage, rideability and potential. He totalled 76 points.

He was first trained and competed by Vai Bruntink, who presented him in the 2011 KWPN Stallion competition.

In January of 2012 the ride was allocated to Belgian Tom Franckx, who presented him in the qualifiers for the 2011-2012, 2012-2013, and 2013-2014 KWPN stallion competition finals.

In the spring of 2014, Charmingmood moved to Kirsten Brouwer's barn. The new pair finished fourth at  the 2015 Dutch Indoor Championships at ZZ-Z level.

The bay stallion moved again in 2016. Under Mark van de Donk he was competed in the 2017 VHO Trophy and at small tour level in 2018. The highest level class they showed in was an Intermediaire II.

The horse got his fifth rider in Jenneke Overduin. This pair competed at small tour level through 2020.

Jiochanna "Anna" Androniki-Kordatzaki has now purchased Charmingmood through her friend Jenneke.

In Charmingmood the 39-year old has found a successor for her retired Grand Prix horse, the 18-year old KWPN gelding Roosens Westpoint (by Lancet x Forrest xx), with whom she competed internationally from 2015 till August 2019.

"Westpoint has been retired and is enjoying his time in the field," said Kordatzaki, who had don enough in sport and was not passed on to Anna's 14-year old daughter Zoe, who made her international show debut in the Children division in the summer of 2020.

Two years ago, Anna was in a riding accident and fractured her back. It has made her more afraid to ride but in Charmingmood she has found a new, reliable equine partner.

"I want to compete at international Grand Prix level straight away as soon as I make a good combination with him by taking lessons with Adelinde Cornelissen," Kordatzaki told Eurodressage. "My goal is the Olympic Games."
