Florentina Jöbstl Moves to Juniors with Floortje

For Austrian pony sisters Florentina and Fanny Jöbstl 2021 was their last year on ponies, which meant that a new junior riders' level horse had to be sought.

Last month, Fanny Jöbstl found her match in Simsalabim. Yesterday, Florentina announced that she will continue her competition career with Floortje.

Floortje is an 11-year old KWPN mare by Negro out of Babeth (by Florencio x Laurentz).

Broodmare in Sport

Floortje first made her mark as a broodmare, completing the IBOP test successfully with 79 points, which made her elite mare.

She has produced five foals, amongst them Leonardo (by Jazz - 2016), Naturel E (by Zack - 2018), and Princes E (by OO Seven - 2020).

At the 2016 KWPN National Mare Championship, Floortje finished ninth in her group for the 4 to 7-year old Elite Mare title. She was presented there at the Championship by owner and breeder Cees Elenbaas.

In sport she was presented by Nadia van Schaik at regional shows as of 2015, as well as by Anais Tsakonis in 2017 when Van Schaik had to recover from an injury sustained in a fall. In 2018 Van Schaik picked her up again and premiered the mare at small tour level.

Floortje had a long break from shows and moved to Stable Hexagon for further training. She made her show come back to the arena under Dutch squad rider Thamar Zweistra in October 2021. Most recently she rode her at the subtop show in Delft to a fourth place with 72,3%

Sold to Austria

Floortje has now been sold to Swiss based Austrian pony rider Florentina Jöbstl who will make the transition to junior level with her.
