Geyer's Vivendi was named the champion of the 2022 Austrian Warmblood Stallion Licensing which took place at the national equestrian centre in Stadl Paura on 5 - 6 February 2022.

A collection of 16 dressage bred colts was presented and no less than 10 received a positive verdict. Four were named premium stallion. 

Vitalis Makes an Impact

The licensing committee consisted of Leopold Erasimus, Peter Zechner, Claudia Wuggenig, and Christian Aschauer. They named the chestnut Geyer's Vivendi the champion of the licensing.  He is by Vitalis out of a Rubin Corts dam. He is bred and owned by Heinrich and Sandra Geyer.

The reserve champion was Versace S. He is bred by Sissy Max-Theurer at Gestut Vorwerk in Germany and owned by Heinz and Martina Winter. He is also by Vitalis and out of a Roi du Soleil dam. 

Premium Lot

Two further stallions were named premium.  They were Geyer’s Dantes Finest (by Dante’s Junior x Finest) and Voglgut’s For Motion (by For Romance x ), who is bred by  Sebastian and Natalie Kastenhuber.

The other six approved stallions are:
Eternity (by Escamillo) - Breeder: Isabel & Jörg Clasen - owner: Gestüt Pramwaldhof
Broadmoars Draufgänger (by Desperados) - Breeder & owner: Broadmoar KG
Bravissimo W (by Benefit) - Breeder & owner: Andreas Winter
Monte Christo S (by  Moliere) - Breeder: Dietrich Sifkovits - owner: Heinz & Martina Winter
Don Devil (by Don Diamond) - Breeder & owner: Sportpferdezucht Leser
Chester (by Chess M) - Breeder: Georg Söllner - owner: Ursula & Norbert Schoßböck

The licensing further approved the older stallion Rosenstein (by Romanov x Werther), bred by Wilhelm Schwierking and owned by Erich Haas, who bought him from the Moritzburg state stud.

Auction

The 2022 Austrian Warmblood Stallion Licensing concluded with an online auction of young stallions as well as trained dressage horses. All horses sold.

Traunstein K
The top selling horse was the 5-year old licensing champion and Austrian Young Horse Champion Traunstein K (by Toto Jr x United). He found a new owner for 110,000 euro.

The second top lot was Donati (by Dante Weltino x Don Romantic). The 5-year old reserve Austrian young horse champion fetched 93,000 euro. 

The third most expensive one was the Bartlgut's Questore (by Quaterback x Coriograf B). The double Austrian Young Horse Champion had biddings on him up to 55,000 euro.

The 8-year old Kiss of Zack (by Zack x Rivero II) fetched 50,500 euro. Allegra (by Diamond Hit x Desperados) found a new owner for 41,000 euro, Well Done EH (by Franz Ferdinand x Weltmeyer) sold for 39,500 euro. 

The licensed pony stallion Cadeaux du Ciel (by Champion de Luxe x Dein Freund) had biddings up to 25,000 euro. The freshly licensed premium stallion Geyer's Dantes Finest has a top bid of 23,000 euro. 

"The interest from buyers from all over the world was very high throughout the auction days. New contacts were made and also the positive feedback from home and abroad for the presentation of the horses on www.horseauction.at have encouraged us to continue on this path in the coming months. Thus for at the end of of July already the next foal auction is planned," said sales director Rudolf Krippl.
